ABOUT LITTLE PIAZZA FOOD TRUCK
Owners Bill and Tammy Matney are long time foodies and have been living in Colorado Springs for over 25 years . Bill has been showing his love for people through his cooking for decades. Ever since he managed the kitchen at the late Piazza Italian restaurant, which was located in the Village Seven neighborhood, he dreamed of bringing his favorite Italian recipes on the road. In 2017, Bill was finally able to make that a reality with Little Piazza Food Truck.
The road to making this dream a reality was not a smooth one. One week before his scheduled Grand Opening, Bill was in a serious car accident that put him in the hospital for 23 days and unable to walk for months. He suffered several internal injuries including his pelvis broken in 3 places, a collapsed lung, and 6 broken ribs, and torn diaphragm . After a two months of physical therapy, Bill served his first Lasagna Sandwich on May 16, 2018, almost 5 months after his initially scheduled grand opening, and you can find him now serving up delicious home-made Italian eats all over the Springs with a huge smile on his face.
